Brendan Crockett

At age 14, Brendan Crockett, the 2009 U.S. Junior National Billiards Champion (14 & UnderDivision), is the youngest member of Team CSI Next Generation. A resident of Bell Canyon, California, Brendan starting playing pool two years ago when he convinced his parents to buy a table. In October 2008, he entered his very first competition—the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship in Chesapeake, Virginia. He created a sensation while in Chesapeake with his play and the fact this was his first tournament ever. Brendan was thrilled to meet the pros who inspire his game. After the U.S. Open, Brendan won the only outside qualifier to go to the 2008 Junior World Championship in Reno, NV, where he competed with the best young players in the world. He started 2009 with a single goal: win the Junior U.S. National Championship. He began working daily with Sal Butera at Butera’s Billiards in Moorpark, CA and traveling to every tournament his schedule allowed. In 2009 in addition to the Junior Championships in Reno, Brendan has competed in the following national events: The Derby City Classic, the Jay Swanson (Swanee) Memorial 9-Ball Tournament, The National Championship Series (NCS) 9 and 10-Ball Championships where he competed with such well known players as Jose Parica, Shaun Wilke and Santos Sambajon to name a few, The Great Billiard Expo amatuer event in Valley Forge, as well as local and weekly tournaments. In May 2009, Brendan caused a stir by winning third place in the Men's Player Member division of the  BCAPL Nationals 8-Ball Championships in Las Vegas out of a field of 167 players.

Meeting his primary 2009 goal, Brendan stunned the field at the University of Indiana to take the Junior National Championship (14 & Under Division). He went undefeated while losing only eleven games in the entire tournament. He recently traveled to Nicaragua for for his first Junior World Championships. He finished 10th place out of the 32 top junior player field. Brendan is very excited about Team CSI and a chance to bring competitive pool to kids of all ages. "I’ve worked hard to find places where I can play and compete. CSI has plans to create pool leagues for all ages and levels. I hope that through Team CSI we can encourage dads and moms to bring their kids out, to get them involved". Brendan is a true natural talent.  Brendan has been featured in The LA Daily News, Ventura County Star, Billiards Digest, NYC Grind, and Inside Pool Magazine. Brendan is the youngest of 4 children and a freshman at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, CA.
