 Landon Shuffett

Landon began playing pool at the age of 5 and in short time was in possession of what most players aspire to have: a straight stroke. At ages 6 and 7, Landon was entertaining large audiences at the Derby City Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. Those exhibitions were the springboard for appearances on 8 national television programs including Ripley's Believe It or Not!, David Letterman, Good Morning America, Tony Danza and the Ellen DeGeneres shows. Entertainment was not Landon's only forte! In the background Landon was winning many tournaments at the local level. Landon won his first tournament at age 8 and had won 25 tournaments before his 10th birthday. He has won Viking and Great Southern Billiards Tour tournaments. Currently Landon is approaching his 100th tournament win.

At age 12 Landon became the youngest player to win a match in the 30 year history of the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship. Landon ran his first 100 in straight pool at age 14 and his current high run is 159. With the goal of becoming the best junior player he could be, Landon proceeded to win 3 Billiard Educational Foundation (BEF) Junior National titles and is the current 2009 (19 and Under) USA Junior National Champion. Landon has earned spots on Team USA as a junior player 4 times. Recently, at the 2009 WPA World Junior Championships, Landon finished 7th place out the top 32 world junior player field. Additionally, Landon is a 5-time BEF Academic All-American, is on the honor roll at Green County High School, and will begin a college career in 2013. Outside of his academic favorites of history and english, Landon enjoys fishing and working outdoors, music and concerts. Landon is coached and instructed by his father Stan Shuffett. Landon is a player representative for Capone Cues, Justis Cases, OB Cues, and Lomax Cues. Visit his official website at www.justcueit.com
